Why Do We Need A Fitness Trainer?

Many fitness novices tend to just start with the idea that they should do the hardest exercises for as long as possible, hoping to lose fat and keep in shape quickly. They might even just take other people’s word for it and not do their research before jumping into the whole fitness thing they heard about. Don’t be like them.

Certain exercises can be damaging to the body if done wrong or before the body was even capable of dealing with them. Doing these exercises before getting used to the easier ones will likely bring you to exhaustion before you could even complete a normal session you could have done if you had been prepared. They can also cause serious muscle tears and leave your body with a ridiculous muscle proportion and aspect.

These problems can be discouraging. Many quit due to the pain and due to not reaching their ambitious goals of losing 30 kg in one week or simply not feeling like exercising today, nor tomorrow, nor the day after tomorrow. This is why a Fitness Trainer is needed.

A Fitness Trainer is like a teacher who will help you learn where to start, how to do exercises and what goals to aim for during what periods of time. The trainer will also make sure that you “do your homework”, so you won’t be allowed to skip your fitness exercises by postponing them until you completely forget about them.

How the fitness trainer helps you

An experienced trainer knows what exercises novices can start with and will observe how you deal with the given exercises and what shape you are in. You will then be given advice on what you can do to improve various muscles and will determine the best way for you to lose fat. Physical activity is basic to keep up your weight.

Your trainer will also advise you on what food you will need to consume and how to burn those calories acquired according to your diet. You should be honest about how much you eat, otherwise you will likely not see any improvements. Too much food and too little exercise means the weight loss will stagnate. Too little food and too much exercise will lead to exhaustion and poor shape instead of muscle gain. Fitness Trainer is the most convenient way to find a fitness professional by connecting you with qualified trainers in your area.

We all have certain pet peeves that just bug the heck out of us. So, in today’s writing, I will go over some of my gym/workout pet peeves that drive me nuts! But then I have to stop and tell myself, “to each his own.” I then feel better and go on with my life. After all, what someone else does is none of my business, right?

Pet Peeve: Texting while at the gym.

Yes, cell phones are part of our every day lives, I get it. I also know that I’m technologically challenged and I’m sure I only use my cell phone in a minute capacity for what it was designed. BUT, when someone is waiting for a machine or for a particular weight, and the person “using” it is texting away, that’s just wrong! Several years back, when all cell phones did was make calls, there was a guy working out at my gym who wore a strap around his waist that had his cell phone, his pager, some gizmo that unlocked his house, and a beeper to let him know if someone opened his front door (I’m not kidding). I was friends with the guy, so jokingly I asked him if he was applying to be the new Batman because he already had his Batman utility belt on! He told me he needed all those items on his person in case something happened to his cat. Huh? (and he wasn’t kidding) Today, I understand cell phones are used for music, so I have lessened my pet peeve on that just a bit. BUT, if you text or make calls while you are supposed to be working out at the gym… FINGER OF SHAME TO YOU!

Pet Peeve: Not racking your weights.

As much as people talk about this, it’s a never ending problem at some gyms. People, if you’re strong enough to lift it, you’re strong enough to put it away. Other people aren’t there to serve you. It’s simple, if you’re too lazy to put it away, you shouldn’t lift it to begin with… period! If this is you… FINGER OF SHAME!

Pet Peeve: Not wiping your sweat.

Yup, I’m sure we’ve all seen this before. I LOVE the feeling of having sweat dripping off my nose during my workouts. That makes me feel like I’ve done something. And, I love it when I see others doing the same thing. BUT, I don’t care to see other’s bodily fluids dripping off a piece of equipment I’m about to use to begin with. Bring a freaking towel and clean up your stuff!

Pet Peeve: Leaving a gym bag in the middle of the floor.

Some people bring a gym bag to the workout area of a gym with them. I always ask, what could they possibly have in that bag? If it’s so important, they should leave it at home or at least in their car. If it’s their change of cloths, why don’t they leave it in the locker room? If they are afraid something will get stolen, maybe they should look for another gym, or get a lock, or again, don’t bring it in the gym to begin with.

Most people who do this are nice enough to at least keep their bag in the corner, or against the wall, but there are some people who just flop the bag out anywhere and expect people to walk around it. Which leads me to…

Pet Peeve: Not being courteous.

Some people walk around the gym as if others should bow down to them. Seriously? Just because you may be able to lift more than me, or have that super model body, doesn’t give you the reason to look down on me. Oh sure, I’m envious, I’m jealous, I’m impressed, but I certainly DO NOT think you are better than me. And, I’m sure I’m naive with this statement, I usually assume people feel the same as I do. When you look down upon someone, and feel you are superior to them, all you’re doing is letting the rest of the world know how much of an ass you are. FINGER OF SHAME TO YOU!

1. Participate in Local Parades and Festivals

The key to increasing your business’s visibility is to make sure that anyone and everyone knows about your business. Make it a point to start participating in local parades and other types of city festivals.

Beyond getting publicity and visibility for your gym, the actual creation of a gym-specific parade float can be a fun team-building event for your current members. Once you have found a member that will let you use their heavy-duty truck and flatbed trailer, here are a couple examples of possible parade floats:

  • Attach a BowFlex or similar workout item to the trailer and have a member do a workout throughout the course of the parade.
  • Use a loud-speaker system and, at certain intervals, stop the truck and have your members perform a quick aerobic workout so that parade watchers can see the types of fun workouts you gym offers.
  • If you are a CrossFit affiliate, create a parade-specific WOD for your members to perform that includes jumping on to the trailer, flipping tires, and doing eye-catching kettlebell swings.

2. Hold “No Experience Necessary” Weekend Events in Public Parks

Many people are intimidated by gyms and working out. In order to get people to try working out, you should hold free, open to the public, weekend events in public areas. The workouts you offer don’t need to be very intense. A simple, but sweat-inducing bootcamp will do the trick.

Remember, you are not trying to scare these people away from the gym. On the contrary, your goal is to make them enjoy themselves so much that they choose to become paying members are your gym. It’s all about increasing your gym’s public visibility.

3. Sponsor a Local Sports Team

Another great way to increase your gym’s membership is to sponsor a local sports team. There are two main advantages to this type of marketing effort. The first is that you will get your logo screen-printed on the uniform of the entire team. Athletes, especially bar-league teams, tend to wear their uniforms outside of games, so your logo will get a lot of eye-traffic.

The second benefit of sponsoring a sports team is that your gym name and logo will be placed on all marketing materials for the team, as well as on the “Sponsor’s Board” at all of the team’s games. People who didn’t previously know about your business will now know that your gym is an avid supporter of the local sports team.

The "Average Joe" Gym is Now a Reality

The “Average Joe” Gym is now a reality.

In one of the more memorable scenes from the Hollywood film-farce “Dodgeball,” Lance Armstrong casually consoles Vince Vaughn assuring him, “I’m sure you must have a good reason to quit”. The story hails the “Average Joe” gym as a place where everyone can feel comfortable and actually fit in without fear and intimidation from muscle-heads, egomaniacs, or singles-bar refugees. But now the concept of the mainstream exercise environment is real. Far from struggling financially, they are rather taking the country by storm and running the competition right out of town! Not just imaginary gyms like “Globo Gym” from a screenwriter’s imagination, but solid well known organizations like Golds, and even the YMCA and the JCC are being bested at their own game. Who is working this Main-street magic in small towns and metro cities alike all across America? There are a few players, but without a doubt the king of the hill is Planet Fitness. They have been derided for their pizza night and bagel morning, both staples at the health club. Planet has the dubious distinction of being labeled as one of the “softest” centers in America, right after Slimmons, Richard Simmons personal aerobic studio. In spite of this the runaway business model is making real headway, with more than 400 successful locations and literally more opening every day, this organization clearly has something great to offer.

What makes these new-age middle-of-the-road upstarts tick? What are they doing to separate themselves from other gyms? First, there is the slogan, “The Judgment Free Zone,” but empty slogans are, well, just that. Closer inspection reveals the reality that this is truly a concept-driven institution built from the ground up. The equipment is more user friendly with easy to interpret illustrations installed directly on every station. The paltry rates, typically between $10.-$20. Per month carry no long term contract for a basic membership, so literally anyone can afford to belong. Full-body high-tech circuit training is aerobically customized for the beginner, but resists plateau problems by using traditional cable/weight stack resistance machines (unlike a big national women-only franchised studio with a similar concept). A virtual sea of aerobics machines greets the would-be better-toned constituent. Clean well appointed locker rooms have replaced the mold and athletes foot cocktail found at many large not-for-profit organizations.

The psychology of the business is what changes the feel of the gyms the most. Psychology in fitness is rarely spoken of but perhaps THE most important aspect of getting and staying fit. It is difficult enough for the fledgling member attempting to do the hard work of becoming fit. Add to the mix annoying fitness fanatics cruising the gym, whether simply nosy members, compensated trainers, or worst yet unqualified members of staff who interrupt the novice participant with unsolicited advice. None of this is permitted at a Planet Fitness (PF). The obvious reaction from the fitness fanatic crowd is “what about prevention of injury?” It is true that the under-instructed participant performs many exercises incorrectly. However, it is the responsibility of that person to learn how to train correctly! Furthermore, statistics on injury in exercise show that these minor form flaws are not actually likely to produce injury. There were approximately 45 million Americans with a gym membership in 2009*, but only 224 reported free weight and weight machine injuries at emergency rooms during the entire year nationwide according to Sports Insurance Risk Management administrators in their latest online article**. Ironically the treadmill was more than twice as dangerous, (575 occurrences) and it is by far the most popular choice of the health club newcomer. The would-be more-fit upstart will be put at ease by the fact that most PF members look and act just like them, being unfamiliar with hardcore training or weightlifting, and simply wishing to spend some of their precious time improving their health. Some of the Benefits of Home Gym

Everyone should have its own reasons why they go to the gym, either because they want to get a good physical, maintain their body shape or maybe just looking for friends who have similar hobbies. This time I will not tell you why we should join the fitness program, but more towards why we should have a gym in our house. I believe there may be among the readers who already have a home gym. Of course it can make you more productive in practice. And I want to share some of the benefits of a home gym that you can get.

The first is it will increase your productivity and effectiveness in training. If you have a home gym, then you can freely specify the time and duration of your workout. When I used to follow the fitness program at a local gym, I often have to wait before using the treadmill and sometimes I have to take turns with my friend who also wants to use the equipment I use. No monthly fees, this is an advantage for you, especially for those who have problems with money. With a home gym you do not have a headache when the bills come and more importantly, you can use the money for more useful things like going on vacation, pay the rent or sometimes to be donated to those in need.

Saving you valuable time. Each person only has 24 hours a day, and you probably already know this. But imagine you have to spend time driving from your house to the gym, plus you have to beat the traffic and pay additional fees such as parking fees, entrance fees, etc. It would be wise to spend time in your home by chatting with your beloved wife and daughter or if you're single then you can exercise while watching your favorite television show or call your girlfriend.

You may freely determine the fitness equipment based on the needs or your hobby. My point here if you like walking in the morning then you can choose the fitness equipment such as treadmills, spin bikes, etc. The advantage is that you can focus on your hobby. For example, if it rains you can still walk on a treadmill indoors. So here's some of the benefits of home gym that I can share with you, I hope this will be beneficial to you and have a home gym is a choice not a requirement. Thank you for reading.

Well fibers have many advantages over fast food or junk food. Fiber intake includes eating fruits, vegetables, and salads. Last week I visited my friend and I was amazed at her breakfast.

Her breakfast included 2 oranges, 1 banana, 1 apple and an omelet with a slice with 2 glasses of mineral water.

This breakfast has many benefits over eating cereals or simple bread slices.

  • It makes you feel full
  • If you did your breakfast at 7 AM, you will feel hunger at 11 AM. It is recommended to eat a fruit serving or vegetable serving at this time.
  • It is a complete diet.
  • It gives you energy and refreshment.

Eating fibers also helps you maintain your weight without any crash dieting programs.

Timing of Your meals

It is important to have your meals at time. Consult your health expert for this purpose.

Pay Attention To Your Fitness

Paying attention to your fitness is important. Why? Well! we do not want to become selfish or self-centered persons. We want to be kind and generous. We want to take care of others. We want to fulfill our responsibilities. But more often we do it on the sake of our own fitness.

We compromise our health in the name of responsibilities. I have watched people who take care of their health as well as their business goals but this only happens in rare cases. Most people who are well passed 40, neglect their health completely, till their body gives the alarming signals. This results into loss of work and the cost of hundreds of dollars.

We all know health is not a minor issue. However, we ignore it completely. I am not saying that you should become worried about your health and stop living happily. I am offering a new vision. You cannot achieve fitness through one hour of workout. Health and fitness is not a matter of hard work and dollars and it should not be that way.

A healthy lifestyle should enable you to live a healthy and long life. For this purpose some minor steps are required. Minor steps that will take some major turns. Eating disorders can make you sick while eating right food at the right time, guarantees a healthy life.

Drinking less water causes dehydration, however, drinking 8 glasses of water daily makes you active and energetic. You can see the pattern. A healthy lifestyle is the direct result of good healthy habits.

So, what is meant by fitness?

Fitness means good health, increased stamina, energetic body and an optimistic overview about life and future.

How to pay attention to fitness?

3 basic factors are involved with your fitness levels.

  • High Stamina/Strength
  • Overall good health
  • Optimism

High Stamina

High stamina can be achieved by joining a gym or doing cardiovascular exercise at home. Do not make it hard for yourself. Just do exercise for 20 to 30 minutes, 3 days in a week.

Tip: If you do not feel energetic or you do not have the strength; feel energetic. Act energetic. Believe in your heart that you are active and full of life. Time will come when you will have greater strength and stamina.

Overall Health

Good health can be achieved by choosing right food plans and appropriate exercise routines. Go to your health expert and seek some good health advice.

Optimism

Optimism is a way of looking at life. Hope for future achievement is a great asset. Optimism will help you achieve your dreams and a healthy life.

So, take care of this asset and take care of your fitness.

Best of luck!

A 7-Day Workout And Fitness Plan For All

While a week-long total-body reform and complete overhaul do not exist, a 7-day workout and fitness plan for all that will have you jump-starting your way to successful and long-term improved body composition do. The key to any diet and workout plan is persistence with the spokes on the key being good form, consistent reps, a good diet, and lots of water. The first three weeks of any diet are crucial and the first week itself can make or break you on the way to starting a good habit. Therefore, consistency is the name of the game. We’ve compiled a complete 7-day workout and fitness plan for you with step by step instructions, tips, and encouragement for along the way.

A Few Tips to Begin With

1. Prepare yourself.

This means preparing both mentally and physically. For your seven-day commitment to work, you need to commit to it with your whole mind and body. Admit to yourself that it isn’t going to be easy, but it is something you can do. Set a goal for yourself each day and for the end of the week. Tell yourself that you may not see huge differences by the end of those seven days, but you are laying a strong foundation.

Preparing also means that you may need to make some changes to your schedule or plan appropriately so that you will follow through with the diet and workout. Plan to go grocery shopping and prep food for the week on a day when you have time. Take time to write out your schedule so you can find appropriate exercise times around your busy schedule. These should be times that you can’t make excuses. If you have a family, prepare them as well letting them know that for this week, you are committed to your exercise and diet schedule.

2. Determine where you are going to exercise.

If you have access to a gym, that is great. If you do not, you will need to plan to exercise at home which may mean buying the necessary equipment or ensuring you have something at home with which to perform the exercises. You can also consider asking your local gym for a free 7-day membership or trial. Several offer promotional trials.

3. Keep your goals and focus in mind.

It takes twenty-one days to make a habit but only one to break it. Psychologists and therapists will tell you that when you write down your goals and put them in a visible place, you are more likely to pursue them, especially when it becomes difficult to do so. When you really want that ice cream or don’t feel like you can do that last rep, think of your goals, smile, breath, and stay focused.

The exercises and diet in this 7-day rapid weight loss program are designed to go hand-in-hand to help you gain muscles and flatten your tummy in 7 days. If possible, try not to substitute unless otherwise instructed. You will see that each day has an encouragement, a tip, a diet plan, and exercises for the morning, evening, and night. Although this may seem difficult, rapid weight loss requires keeping your metabolism boosted and this can only be done by eating a good diet throughout the day in tandem with exercises.

Meals and snacks should be as evenly spaced out as possible with about 2 hours between each. With the gym routines involving weights, a good rule of thumb is that you should have enough weight to be challenging but not severely difficult. If you can’t finish the final set of reps, that is alright as several trainers suggest that taking your muscles to the point of failure will build them the best. It is also more than appropriate to use lighter weights and be able to finish all the reps. Taking muscles to failure will build reps while using lighter weights will tone. Either way, be sure to focus on form and exercising the muscle from both angles. This means that you do the repetitions slowly both up and down.

You may also notice that you will be eating a lot of food. This is necessary for both your metabolism and …
