Team No Limits Arrive in Kathmandu

Welcome to Kathmandu!

Team No Limits has safely arrived in Kathmandu. Unfortunately, we can not say the same for their luggage. The team has been wandering the streets of Kathmandu trying to find the six pieces of missing luggage which belong to team members Doug and Roger. "Base camp manager, Coffey, said in spite of the luggage dilemma, all is great and he feels confident that the missing luggage will be arriving at any time. "Katmandu is something that all humans should experience," said Coffey.

In spite of the minor set back, the team is remaining positive and is taking advantage of their time in Kathmandu. The team is enjoying some great tea and coffee as well as satisfying their appetites with some tasty cuisine. In addition, the tired bunch of guys is seizing the opportunity to catch up on some rest and organize details for their flight into Lukla and trek into base camp. Doug and Larry spent part of their day at the Ministry of Tourism securing the team's climbing permits over a cup of coffee. "And a mighty expensive cup of coffee it was," laughed Coffey.

It should not go unmentioned that the team had an interesting and rather ironic flight from Bangkok. The team was honored to be seated next to Jangbu Sherpa (JB), who was part of the Everest IMAX film crew in 1996. This IMAX production was filmed during the infamous climbing disaster documented Into Thin Air. It was Jangbu Sherpa who carried the camera to the top of the summit and helped to make the completion of the IMAX film possible. The team members enjoyed having the opportunity to talk to this incredible man during their 17 hour flight and delighted in listening to his many words of mountain wisdom. 

As soon as the team reorganizes, they should be off to Lukla as scheduled!
