Doug Tumminello is from Littleton, Colorado and practices law in Denver, Colorado. Doug is a West Point graduate and has been climbing for nearly 20 years. Doug's passion for climbing ensued in the late 80's and has taken a natural progression. Doug enjoys ice climbing, alpinism, and mountaineering. Doug's climbs include: Denali, Rainer, and Aconcagua in South America. In addition, Doug spends a great deal of his free time on Colorado's notorious 14ers.

Doug said that there are many reasons he climbs. Primarily, Doug enjoys meeting the Noble challenges of the climb. "Climbing is challenging in many aspects. Climbing is physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally challenging. I find it enjoyable to meet theses challenges," Tumminello said.

Doug said that climbing has blessed him with  greater self knowledge and gain in all of the noble aspects involved in a climb. Doug also enjoys the clarifying aspects of the climb. "When I am climbing, I am focused on an immediate task and it is clarifying," Doug said. In addition, Doug expressed that he feels privileged to have the opportunity to climb some of the classic routes that will inevitably be gone in the next fifty to one hundred years due to global warming.

Doug embracing the name of his climbing team, Team No Limits. He said that the name the team has chosen signifies their belief that their is no limit to what the human spirit can achieve. Doug, a man of strong faith, enjoys working with his church youth group. Doug encourages these young people to explore their dreams. . . even if they seem crazy. Doug strongly adheres to the philosophy that A good life, is a life well lived.

Doug thanks his family and friends for all of their support. "This would not have been possible without the support of my family, especially my wife, Lisa Renee," Tumminello said. Doug has two children: Alexandra who is 8 and Bowden who is 2.
