Sexual health is an important part of a man’s overall health and wellness, and a healthy penis is obviously a key player in this respect. Everyone knows that to keep the body healthy, it is important to work out, eat right, take vitamins, get plenty of rest, avoid smoking, manage stress and limit alcohol intake – but few men take the time to give their penis a little extra TLC. Proper penis health care should be integrated into the daily routine of every man; the use of a penis vitamin creme containing Vitamin E is one way to improve the skin quality and health of the penis.

What are the Health Benefits of Vitamin E?

Vitamin E has many health boosting properties, one of which being its antioxidant function – antioxidants fight free radicals in the body which can cause cancer, as well as signs of premature aging. Vitamin E also reduces cholesterol in the body by stopping cholesterol from being changed to plaque. Plaque is responsible for narrowing the blood vessels and damaging cardiovascular health, which can lead to coronary artery disease. Vitamin E also reduces joint inflammation caused by arthritis, boosts immune functioning, and works with other essential nutrients to regulate hormones in the body. Vitamin E is an especially important nutrient for skin care, as it helps retain moisture, prevents skin dryness and can help protect the skin from UV rays.

What are the Penis Benefits of Vitamin E?

Vitamin E carries with it several penis-specific benefits. Vitamin E can improve the quality and appearance of the penis skin as it penetrates the skin cells, soothing irritation while moisturizing, smoothing and revitalizing the skin on contact. Vitamin E is also beneficial for men suffering from Peyronie’s disease – a condition in which the penis painfully curves due to scar tissue – vitamin E can help improve existing symptoms of Peryonie’s disease and may have preventative properties to keep the penis tissue healthy and straight. It can also prevent shortening of the penis tissue caused by Peyronie’s. Vitamin E increases blood flow throughout the body, all the way to those tiny blood vessels that make up the penis, this speeds healing and helps maintain the health of the penis tissue.

Sources of Vitamin E

There are many food sources that contain Vitamin E. The Food and Nutrition Board at the Institute of Medicine recommend adults intake 15 mg of Vitamin E daily. To ensure the daily dose is met, load up on the following foods:

  • Wheat germ oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil and palm oil
  • Nuts, almonds, hazelnuts
  • Spinach, collard greens, dandelion greens
  • Avocados, asparagus, broccoli, beets, turnips, tomatoes, sweet potatoes pumpkin
  • Mangoes, papayas, kiwi

For individuals who aren’t the biggest fans of fruits and veggies, vitamin E can be found in over the counter daily multivitamins, or as a vitamin E only supplement.

Maintaining Penis Health

While vitamin E can be taken in pill form to reach the recommended daily intake, to achieve the best result for the penis, it should be applied directly to the skin. An all-natural penis vitamin creme (most professional recommend Man 1 Man Oil) containing vitamin E can be gently rubbed on the area to soothe, heal and protect the skin. When choosing a creme, ensure it is intended for use on the genital area, as lotions and cremes which are not formulated for the penis, may cause irritation of the skin. Other key ingredients a penis creme should contain include: shea butter, for moisturizing; Acetyl L Carnitine, for nerve healing; Alpha Lipoic Acid, for cell metabolism; vitamin A, for anti-bacterial properties; vitamin D, for anti-oxidant properties, and vitamin C, for collagen production.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act allows for the continuing health insurance coverage for people even as they become unemployed or when they change jobs. The act also provides for the standards that would help ensure the privacy of an insured’s information when it comes to electronic transactions with regards to health care.

Starting in April 2003, the Act has safeguarded the use and divulging of what is called “Protected Health Information” or those that is related to an individual’s health status, health care provision or they payment for such that may be traced back to an individual.

The HIPAA is an ever growing concern now as hospitals, health care insurers and even doctors and other health professionals extend their businesses online. Right now, it is possible to get your medical tests results online, or perhaps get a prescription via e-mail or online. With the advent of Health 2.0, a lot more processes are now possible online where it used to require a visit to the doctors’ office.

Web Application Security and the HIPAA

If you run a health-related site that collects, stores, and transmits patient data and information, it is best to make sure that your Web application security is up to HIPAA standards [http://www.applicure.com/solutions/hipaa-compliance]. The HIPAA requires that Web sites should be able to:

1. Encrypt all data that is to be transmitted, archived or stored.

2. Store all data, this includes backups and easy recovery.

3. Restrict access to relevant data only to authorized personnel.

4. Protect all data from being altered or tampered.

5. Destroy all data when they are not going to be used anymore.

How a Web Application Firewall Can Help

A Web application firewall can examine all packets of data that is transmitted from or to an application; thereby letting you screen and block specified content. Web application firewalls can help prevent hacking attacks that uses the holes in your Web applications itself. This helps you to protect the data you have on your systems from falling into unauthorized hands. With a hacking attack, the hacker can retrieve the information you have stored, and can get copies of all incoming data after putting malware on your system that allows him or her to record the activities on your system or Web site.

Aside from this, a Web application firewalls can also help you keep out viruses and other malware that can destroy data you want to keep, or alter these data according to the way it is programmed.

The sad thing is that, most Web hosts can easily offer a Web application firewall, but opts not to. If you have a health related Web site, be sure to get a host that offers this kind of protection.

Many people will tell you that you need to have Goals in each of a set of defined categories. I’m less strict about that, but I definitely think you should have Goals for your Health. How do you have health Goals you may ask?

First you need to take stock of where you are right now. Go to your doctor and have a full physical done, including blood work. Most insurance will cover this as part of your preventative care, except for the blood work. Get your weight, your cholesterol and everything else you should track noted.

Then you need to determine what the ideal is for all of these. Ideal weight. Ideal cholesterol. Ideal glucose level and so on. Wherever you’re not in that ideal range, you need to create a plan to get there. Your doctor will give you ideas. They LOVE doing that.

Now WHY do you need Health Goals?

Without good Health, nothing else can get done.

I speak from experience here. The last month or so I have been trying to get over a bout of bronchitis. It knocked me down for a couple of days early on, and it just keeps hanging on. It’s draining my energy and creativity, and it’s really knocked me off track on pursuing my Goals this month. It’s essential to be physically and mentally able to actually DO the work to achieve your Goals.

Without good Health, what you do isn’t as productive.

When we’re sick, our bodies are busy fighting whatever bacteria or virus has attacked us. Or our bodies are busy healing from whatever pain or injury we’re suffering from. When you can work at all, you simply aren’t going to have the energy to get as much done. It affects your thinking and your ability to make things happen. It can affect your judgement too and cause you to make costly errors.

Without good Health, we aren’t as motivated to get things done.

Let’s look at weight here. When we’re overweight, it’s more difficult to get excited about certain things. We can be self-conscious about how we look compared to those we see as Successful. Sometimes it’s not our imagination either. Certainly Hollywood makes us think you have to be thin and beautiful to be a Success. Look at leaders in places you’ve worked or know. Does upper management tend to be fat and ugly or thin and good looking? In my experience, thin and good looking gets you farther.

Without good Health, we are more stressed than ever.

When we’re not at our optimum health, it’s stressful. When we’re sick, we naturally want and need to rest. Yet we know there are so many things that aren’t getting done. We NEED to get up and do something, but when we do, we can’t do it for long or we make a mess of it. Poor Health itself is stressful. It creates extra demands on the body to carry extra weight, process more sugar, salt, fat and chemicals than it should or to pump blood through clogged arteries. Not to mention the physical stress to joints and muscles.

Our Health is the one thing we cannot ignore when we set our Goals. It’s too important. Our Health is what enables us to think and do the work well and quickly to achieve our Goals, but it’s not just a tool to do that.

Our Health has to be good to excellent if we’re going to be the best that we can be.

Human beings eat different sorts of foods, and those foods after digestion excrete the waste that are not anymore needed by our bodies. These wastes have to be properly disposed as they may pose environmental and health hazards. In the same way that all other kinds of wastes must be properly disposed to avoid the said unwanted effects. What are these other kinds of wastes and who creates them? Waste creators are those manufacturers of different kinds of products. They produce these wastes on the process of manufacturing. These refuse that are not anymore useful like scraps of papers, cellophanes, cans, metals, all these have to be properly thrown as they may cause damage to our environment and to our health. In the same way manufacturers in the fields of electricity must properly throw away electronics waste they create for a healthy environment and a healthy citizenry.

The government of the United Kingdom has this thing called Waste Electrical and Electronics Equipment or better known as WEEE , which is a directive 2002/96 / EC, together with the RoHS Directive 2201/95 / EC. This became a European Law in February 2003 which sets the collection, recycling and recovery of all types of electrical items. It is commonly known as the WEEE waste directive which imposes the responsibility in the disposal of electrical and electronic waste to manufacturers, sellers, and end users to drive them into a concerted effort to make the environment clean. Companies are mandated to create an infrastructure for collecting all electrical and electronic waste including cellphones. WEEE waste directive has provided the platform in making the public aware that they can return their worn out and waste cell phone items for proper disposal that is an ecologically friendly manner.

Who would want his environment to be polluted that in return may backlash through global warming calamities? Everything that can be recycled must be recycled. For example, Aluminum, which is a sustainable metal that can be recycled into new cans within 60 days. So, instead of just throwing your used cans anywhere, bring those cans to proper disposal and you can even exchange those waste for money. Also your cell phones and other electronic gadgets can be turnover for proper disposal in exchange of money. With that you are protecting your environment plus you have new cans and new cell phones, and electronic gadgets back into the store shelves.

Having said all this, let us start in our own household the proper disposal of waste. Diligently we will do it until we contaminate our community in this worthwhile effort to clean up our environment. And we must act now and not procrastinate for we are now all seeing and actually experiencing the catastrophic effects of global warming which is causal to not disposing our wastes properly.

Omega 3 fatty acids are the main ingredient in salmon fish oil and most other fish oils on the market. With few side effects that are not common and several benefits salmon oil is known to be beneficial to health throughout life. Salmon the fish that salmon oils are made from has a life span that is relatively short when compared to other fish.

Salmon are high in omega fatty acids even though they are smaller than other fish, although there are other fish that are purer and higher in Omega-3's such as the Hoki fish that New Zealand fish oil is made from. Salmon fish oil supplements should be molecularly distilled to ensure that the impurities are gotten out of the salmon. Products should be checked for authenticity before purchasing them due to pollution in the water.

Salmon can be eaten or salmon oil supplements taken but a dietician should be consulted before taking the supplements. This way the correct dose is gotten. Salmon oil is known to have long term advantages and benefits to health. X-tend life is made from Hoki fish which are higher in the necessary omega fatty acids than salmon; it is also a purer fish making the fish oils derived from it safer.

It is used in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, and research has shown that heart attack prevention has been aided by salmon oil. The supplements are good for the eye sight and it is good source of the body's essential nutrients. HDL or bad cholesterol is reduced by salmon fish oil.

Decreased mobility and excruciating pain can be caused by inflammation in the body which is reduced by salmon oil. Essential fatty acids are found in salmon fish oil which aid in the reduction of symptoms from arthritis, atherosclerosis, asthma, Chron's disease and gallstones along with several others. There has been evidence linking fish consumption to a reduced risk of asthma in children. However, clinical studies have shown that X-tend life has twice the anti-inflammatory properties and increased health benefits when compared to other fish oils.

Prostate cancer is prevented with salmon oil, and the chances of breast cancer reduced. Depression symptoms are reduced when the right levels of salmon oil are consumed. When it is taken twice a week the depression symptoms are reduced more than when it is taken less frequently.

Low levels of fish oil can lead to losing memory more frequently as you get older. The right amount of salmon oil can help with the slowing down of Alzheimer's progression. High blood pressure is also lowered by salmon. The pain experience from menstrual cramps is also reduced with its intake. The right level of New Zealand fish oils can aid in prevention of memory loss as aging begins.

There are several benefits to the omega 3's in salmon oils with the most popular being the effective and natural relief it provides from pain. It is also one of the safest pain relievers available and is included in a number of medications. Medications that include omega 3's have been shown to be more effective when it comes to helping with respiratory and inflammatory diseases.

Salmon fish oil provides an extra amount of omega 3's when compared to other oils making it the one of the most complete fish oils supplements available although there is still a better alternative. Moderation is the thing that must be remembered when taking salmon fish oil supplements.

These are useful in memory function and over all brain development, although they should be taken under the supervision of a medical professional to ensure they are consumed in the correct dosage. With the right guidance the side effects associated with salmon fish oil such as nausea, belching and a fishy taste are non-existent. Taking a supplement of New Zealand fish oils daily can not only have health benefits but can aid in the prevention of the side effects experienced from other fish oils.

Electronic Medical Records are going to be needed in the future. It is important to learn the functions of EMR and how it fits into an office work flow.

1. Patient Charting

Patient visit information is put into templates or forms; to contain information such as vitals, complaints, medical histories, review of systems, physical exams, etc. Most EMR systems have pick lists, drop-down boxes, handwriting recognition, or voice recognition to accomplish patient charting.

2. Order Communication Systems

This is often referred to as a Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE). This allows the Electronic Medical Records system to communicate information with external systems such as laboratories, imaging centers, hospitals, and pharmacies via Health Level 7 Interfaces. This allows providers to send out lab requests, imaging requests, prescriptions, submit visit charges, and diagnosis codes to the office/billing system.

3. Clinical Decision-Making Support Systems

Alerts, reminders, and recommendations are built into the system allowing automatic clinical decision making with information in the database. It also helps doctors with coding and diagnosis. Many EMR systems provide physicians with a recommended CPT code based off of Evaluation and Management (EM) rules. This allows physicians to bill payers at the highest possible rate for the services performed.

4. Document/ Image Management

It is important for offices to manage the enormous flow of paper entering their office. Offices are constantly flooded with patient intake forms, referring physician letters, lab reports, and faxes. EMRs allow doctors to access these documents on a intuitive user interface. EMRs provide physicians a way to manage images such as x-rays, MRIs, and ultrasounds.

5. Patient Portal

Personal health records allow patients to access their health record from any computer with a secure internet connection. These programs include features such as appointment scheduling, refill requests, electronic intake forms, record access, outcome assessments and patient education. The patient can also grant other providers access to this information which allows provider-to-provider communication.

6. Statistics and Reporting

Providers can create reports from databases for statistical purposes. This becomes especially useful in the case of drug recalls, health maintenance reminders and disease management.

Fall is one of the favorite seasons for furry pals due to its crisp air, colorful foliage and sweet aroma of the seasonal plants lingering in the environment. Though the season is welcoming, it has potential health hazards for your furry pals, about which you may not be knowing. It is essential to learn about these dangers and protect your pet from the unconditional situations.

Let us look into some of the major things that you need to take care of in Fall.

Less Hours Of Daylight

Shorter days mean fewer hours of daylight and we have to cut-short some of our day activities when visibility is poor. Dog owners have to take their furry pal on walks either during the dusk or dawn. This brings in the added risks of accidents due to low visibility.

During winters, when taking your furry pals on walks in the darkness of early morning or evening, it is crucial to be careful of your pet. Reduced light means it is challenging for drivers to see animals, which may lead to accidents at times. Therefore, it is crucial to keep a close observation on your pooch on a walk and control by having a leash and collar or chest harness. Make him wear reflective collars as well as a tag with a microchip for a safe return in case of missing incident.

Leaves – A Catastrophe to Handle

It’s a pleasure to just move around and listen to that rumbling sound coming out of the dried leaves. Dogs love to run about the foliage and have fun time. But the furry animals are not aware of the danger of this debris. These dried leaves are the source of toxicity if your fur pal lick any substance from the ground or their paws.

There may be fleas, ticks as well as bacteria and mold growth on these leaves. And, if your pet ingests any of these micro-organisms, it would be creating dangerous condition including vomiting, diarrhea, sickness or even tapeworm infection.

It is better to remove the foliage and cut short the dried grass in the lawn to keep away those nasty parasites. Moreover, ensure that your pet remains indoors, separate from the yard work.

Plants and Mushrooms

Mushrooms and other toxic plants are seasonal plants of the Fall and they are wildly found during this time. Your furry pal may succumb to toxicity if any of the part – leaves, stem or flower, any of these is ingested by them. Mushrooms are wildly found in yards. Though most of the wild mushrooms are non-toxic, there are a few which are highly toxic, and when ingested cause challenging situations.

Therefore, try to remove any unwanted plants and mushrooms from your yard and avoid your pet from moving around in the yard until you remove it.

Fatality due to Rodenticides

Falling temperatures drive rodents out of their shell in search of shelter for cold into your homes. People mostly use rodenticides to kill these creatures and keep them away from their homes. However, at times your dog or cat are likely to feast on these chemicals, and may encounter grave danger. Rodenticides cause critical conditions like hemorrhages, uncontrolled bleeding, and blood in vomit.

If you suspect that your cat or a dog has ingested rodenticides and find any toxicities, immediately contact your vet or poison emergency center for immediate help.

Before your dog or a cat fall to any of the dangers of the season fall, ensure all the care and take precautions to avoid any unfaithful circumstances.

The Orlando schools will be promoting health and wellness to its students this year. As part of the Orange County FL District, the schools in Orlando will implement a new wellness policy that was just approved this month.

The new policy is in response to a federal mandate, under the Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2004. All schools that receive federal funding for lunch programs must have a wellness policy in place.

The wellness program for the schools in Orlando is designed to promote better health to their students. Healthy eating and physical activity will play a big part in the Orlando policy. The hope is to completely change the environments to healthier ones.

With the new wellness program effective on the first day, each of the schools is challenged to be creative and innovative in implementing wellness activities and promotions.

Each of the schools in Orlando will create a Healthy School Team (HST). The organization of each team is based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Coordinated School Health Model. There will be a member on each HST to represent each of the following areas of health:

o Health education,

o Counseling.

o Psychological and social services,

o School health services,

o Nutrition services,

o Physical education,

o The healthy school environment,

o Health promotion for Orlando schools’ staff, and

o Family and community.

Under the belief that healthy children is a community-wide concern, each of the Orlando schools will enlist the involvement of parents, families, teachers, counselors, school administrators, healthcare professionals, businesses, and community groups and organizations.

The Orange County schools already have experimented with the wellness program, which will benefit the Orlando schools. For almost three years, the program has been used in 13 schools within the county. The HSTs have been found to be quite effective in promoting health and wellness, not only for the students but their families and school staff, as well. The Orlando schools will use much of the information and experiences from these schools, when implementing their own wellness program this year.

The experimental HSTs have sponsored walking and running clubs for students, school staff, and parents. Another example of creative thinking by the HSTs is “wellness Wednesdays”, whereby students are rewarded for being involved in healthy activities, such as eating nutritious lunches, drinking water versus soda, or participating in a physical activity. Each HST at the Orlando schools will be charged with developing activities that meet the specific needs of each school and its students. The HST members are limited only by their own imaginations to develop creative promotions, events and activities.

The new wellness program at the Orlando schools is all about health and wellness for children, and helping everyone concerned to understand the importance of good health and its effect upon a child’s ability to learn. From the federal mandate to the Orlando schools’ implementation of the wellness program, the sole purpose is to improve the health of students in order for them to be better able to learn and achieve — now and in the future.
